Roadworks on Hanover Street
LAS Treasurer, Chris Banks notes:
Please be aware that there are some major road works taking place near to the QMH. Essentially, Hanover Street is completely closed to traffic for the next 6 or 7 weeks (so the April meeting will also be affected). Members attending the next two meetings may well have to find alternative routes into the city. The car park above Tesco’s can still be reached, but traffic has to approach from the Albert Dock end of Hanover Street and then turn right into Gradwell Street. Or, if you know the way, come down Gradwell Street itself.
The plan is to finish the first phase of road works by the end of April.
There will then be a 3 or 4 week break before moving to the south end of Hanover Street by June. Hopefully the AGM in May will not be affected.
I do hope you can join me and your fellow members next Friday evening, but if you are unable to attend, please indicate your apologies to me by filling out this form.
Remember too that the deep partial solar eclipse also takes place on the same morning – we will be at Pex Hill from 08:30 to 11:00 so let’s hope the weather is kind.
With best wishes – Gerard
