I have a Helios 8″ Newtonian reflector on a home made dobsonian mount which I no longer have room for. I would like to give the telescope to a young astronomer who needs a telescope.

The telescope is in Rufford, north of Ormskirk.

Hi Barry, that is very kind of you and I am sure that we can easily find one of young astronomers who would appreciate your donation. I will inform our Director, Brendan Martin, who will make arrangements with you.
Once again, thank you for your kind offer.
    Regards from David Galvin.

Hi Barry, thanks for your kind offer, we have a telescope loan scheme for our young astronomers where we loan a telescope for free, we are very lucky in that we have had a few telescopes donated for this very purpose, if you don’t mind donating your telescope for this scheme we would be extremely grateful, if you agree to this you can email me your phone number at I will contact you to discuss.
Once again many thanks for your kind offer.
