Just my wife a Sky Watcher Mercury 705 ,well she wanted a telescope. It was only 140 quid, is it a reasonable buy to look at the moon and a few planets.
Just a bit of advice so I can help an show her.
    Cheers

Hi I’m quite new to this myself. The telescope you mention from the seller I use would only be £99 brand new but it also depends what mount and tripod it’s on, see link given below to compare your one.
That scope has a objective lens diameter of 70mm, I’d suggest having a refractor of at least 80mm diameter to see much planetary detail, but wait until you get a reply from a full member from here before taking my advice, like I said I’m relatively new to this too.
It should be great for the moon.
