The Leighton Observatory (formerly Pex Hill Observatory and Visitors’ Centre) is located in Cronton, Merseyside.
This is where our regular Wednesday weekly meetings are held.
Members of the public are welcome on Wednesday nights and if the sky is clear you might even be able to start spotting planets and stars!
If you are arriving by public transport, we recommend using the MerseyTravel Journey Planner to find the best route. Simply type in your own postcode in the From box, and the postcode of the observatory, WA8 5QW, in the To box.
If you require further information, or are an LAS Member wishing to book equipment, you can contact the Director of the Observatrory.
The observatory is also available exclusively to LAS Members at other times of the week – please contact the Director of the Observatory for more information.
