2019 – 2022 Annual General Meeting (A.G.M.)
Friday, 20th May 2022 @ 19:00 - 21:00 BST
The May 2022 monthly meeting of Liverpool Astronomical Society for the 2019 – 2022 (138th) session is our Annual General Meeting and will be held on Friday, May 20th from 19:00 to 21:00.
Please note that this event is not open to the general public without prior arrangement with the LAS Secretary.
Those of you wishing to join the Society are welcome to come along and officially become members, however please note that you will not be allowed to vote at this meeting.
Ordinarily, the AGM would consist of the business of the Society for the past year, with a break for tea/coffee and then short presentations by society members.
On this occasion however, since we haven’t seen each other in so long, we are going to have a more social meeting.
The Society business will be done as normal, but rather than members’ talks there will be a buffet 🥪🍰🥤☕ .
Please try to continue with social distancing and use caution when possible.
Also, use the hand sanitiser that will be available.
The wearing of masks will be a personal choice and optional for those that wish to continue wearing them.
Indoor ventilation will be continued where possible.
Finally, please do not attend if you have any COVID-like symptoms or have tested positive for COVID that day, or in the days leading up to the event.
A recording is NOT available for this lecture.
Subscriptions for the current session are suspended due to the COVID-19 situation and will resume in September 2022.
The LAS e-newsletter is now included in your normal subscription cost.
LAS Members are requested to attend, but if this is not possible, please could you send your apologies before the day of the event to either the Minutes Secretary or the Secretary.
The LAS e-newsletter is now included in your normal subscription cost
Please note – Doors will only open after 6.30pm and not before.
I do hope you can join me and your fellow members, but if you are unable to attend, please indicate your apologies to me by e-mailing me at the secretary address (sent to members) or filling out this form.
With best wishes – Mark
