As well as not supporting modern features and web standards, old versions of browsers - especially Internet Explorer - can expose your computer to security risks. The Liverpool Astronomical Society invite you to our “Open Day” at the Leighton Observatory at Pex Hill, Cronton, Widnes in partnership with the Trust for Conservation Volunteers.

There will be Solar observing through special telescopes during the day with illustrated talks on astronomy, also guided tours of the observatory and during the eveningĀ  viewing Jupiter and some of the wonders of the universe through telescopes.

During the day the TCV will have many activities to take part in, including nature activities for children, bird feeder making and pole lathing. Please note that these activities start from 11am (not 1pm).

There will be refreshments available, also a raffle and a cake sale and much more.
