DESCRIPTION:Event details: \n\n\n\n\nAs people switch off their lights for Earth Hour 2026\, we’re inviting you to Kindling Farm to connect with the beauty of our natural world. We’ll be joined by Liverpool Astronomical Society who will guide us through observing the skies using telescopes and advanced technology (as long as the weather is with us!). The evening will start in our barns with a hot chocolate and a short\, informal talk about our solar system before venturing outside. DESCRIPTION:5th October 14:00 – EVENT CANCELLED\n\nMessage from the Croxteth Park Volunteers Group\nPlease be aware that we have had to cancel our Astronomy Night on health and safety grounds due to incidents of Anti-Social Behaviour in the park last night. We have consulted with the park management and Merseyside Police and we feel we cannot take the risk of going ahead with the possibility of people’s safety being endangered. As this is a free event\, we do not have the resources to employ additional security that would enable us to go ahead and we simply cannot put people’s welfare and wellbeing at risk.\nWe hope that we can rearrange this event in future if the security issues can be addressed. Hightown railway station is located 1/3rd of a mile away (approx. 5 minutes walk). \nThe Alt Centre itself has no postcode (the given postcode is for nearby Lower Alt Road) so to find it follow Lower Alt Road westwards (towards the coast) as far as you can.\n Lower Alt Road forks at this point – to the right is a no-entry\, incoming one-way road.
