    Hi,

New to the board, and “sort of” new to astronomy, in that I haven’t looked at the sky with anything except my eyes since using my old Tasco as an enthusiastic 12 year old, at least till recently, when I dug up an old pair of Miranda 10×50 binoculars.

So looking forward to seeing more again, and getting some advice from more experienced hands here <img src=” title=”Smiley” />

Hi Krys, glad to see you have renewed your enthusiam for astronomy, you have made the best start (or should that be re-start) in using your 10×50 bino’s, there is a lot that can be seen through them and it will help you find your way around, there are some excellent binocular targets at the moment, the Andromeda galaxy and the double cluster in Perseus to name but two also there is comet Garradd which can easily be found in bino’s especially as the Moon is out of the way for a few days.
    Clear Skies

I’d definitely like to get up to Pex Hill at some point, and was thinking of coming to the star party in october over on the wirral as well. I’m in the city centre so any chance for some (half) decent skies is appealing!

What is the public transport like to Pex?

Hi Krys, I am not to sure about the public transport, I know it will be easy to get to Pex Hill but not so easy to get home as the services finish early.
