Solar Day & Telescope Workshop at Pex Hill: Saturday, 15th July, 2017

To recognise the 90th Anniversary of the Total Solar Eclipse viewed from Southport on 29th June 1927 the Liverpool Astronomical Society will be having a Solar Day and telescope workshop on Saturday, 15th July from 1pm at the Leighton Observatory, Pex Hill. The event is expected to end at 7pm, but may continue later if weather conditions are favourable. Please note that parking is free, but limited. International Sun Day, 22nd June 2014

For International SUN-day, June 22nd 2014, The Liverpool Astronomical Society is hosting a FREE solar observing day at their Leighton Observatory, Pex Hill, Cronton. The event runs from 1pm to 5pm, and will give people the opportunity to SAFELY view the sun through specially adapted telescopes, allowing you to see details you would never normally be able to view.
