Monthly Meeting, Friday 11th April 2014

The April 2014 monthly meeting of Liverpool Astronomical Society for session 2013-14, will take place on Friday, April 11th 2014 from 7pm. Please note that this is the 2nd Friday of the month due to the Easter Bank Holiday. National Astronomy Week 2014

In 2014, Jupiter will be at its highest in UK skies for many years to come, in fact until the year 2025, and to celebrate the event, UK astronomers and local organisations will be holding another National Astronomy Week (NAW), from Saturday 1st to Saturday 8th March. West Didsbury Astronomical Society present Chris Lintott: Galaxy Zoo & Discoveries, Monday, 11th November 2013

In November, West Didsbury Astronomical Society welcome Chris Lintott (of Oxford University and the BBC’s Sky At Night programme) in a lecture entitled “Galaxy Zoo and the Discoveries“. As well as discussions about the Galaxy Zoo project, there will be also be a general Questions & Answers session. Monthly Meeting, Friday, September 20th 2013

Long hot summer days are behind us and maybe clean, dark, cold winter nights are ahead :-) The first monthly meeting of Liverpool Astronomical Society for session 2013-14, will take place on Friday, September 20th 2013 from 7pm.
