West Didsbury Astronomical Society present Chris Lintott: Galaxy Zoo & Discoveries, Monday, 11th November 2013

In November, West Didsbury Astronomical Society welcome Chris Lintott (of Oxford University and the BBC’s Sky At Night programme) in a lecture entitled “Galaxy Zoo and the Discoveries“. As well as discussions about the Galaxy Zoo project, there will be also be a general Questions & Answers session. Change to Syllabus for Friday March 18th, 2011

Due to commitments with regard the BBC Sky at Night programme, Mr Paul Abel is unable to keep his long standing invitation to speak to the Society on Friday March 18th, 2011. His place has been taken by Dr Steve Barrett  Department of Physics, University of Liverpool, who is to talk on “How Stars Tick – Stellar Evolution for Non-Astrophysicists”. I wish to place on record my thanks to Dr Barrett for stepping in at very short notice.
