Monthly Meetings

What happens at a Monthly Meeting? Do you use telescopes?

Our Monthly Meetings take place in the city centre on a Friday night, which unfortunately makes observing impractical. Additionally, our Monthly Meetings have traditionally been for astronomy-related lectures from knowledgable experts, enthusiasts, professionals, researchers, academics, etc. from all over the UK and sometimes beyond.

If lectures, talks and presentations are not your cup of tea, you might prefer our more practical weekly meetings, held every Wednesday evening at our observatory in Cronton village.

When and Where?

Monthly meetings are held at:
The Quaker Meeting House,
22 School Lane,
Liverpool City Centre,
L1 3BT
.
Details of each Monthly Meeting can be found on our calendar.

Regular Attendance

While we do welcome members of the public, we do ask you to consider that, since everything is paid for from our Membership subscriptions, if you find yourself attending a Weekly meeting more than 3 times, or a Monthly meeting more than twice, you might consider joining the LAS (the cost is minimal and there are a lot of benefits).

For further details on Monthly Meetings, please contact the LAS Secretary.
