THE PLANETS DURING NOVEMBER

MERCURY

Is at its greatest Eastern elongation on the 28th, but is poorly placed for observations from Liverpool.

VENUS

The evening star can be found low down in the South-Western sky about one hour after Sunset.

MARS

Can be found within the stars of Sagittarius Close-by Venus on the night of 3rd/4th November.

JUPITER

Can be found low down in the South Western sky. But on the 11th is 4° South of Moon.

SATURN

At 01hrs:26mins GMT on the 12th the ringed planet undergoes a lunar occultation. A very rare event and well worth a look, with both planet and Moon high above the horizon.

URANUS

Is poorly placed for observations.

NEPTUNE

Is also not well placed for observations.

PLUTO

Not well placed for observations during November.
