  • Solar Day at Liverpool World Museum

    World Museum, Liverpool (formerly NMGM Liverpool Museum) World Museum, William Brown St, Liverpool, Merseyside, United Kingdom

    We will be situated near the front entrance of the museum at street level. Details to follow. Two images of the solar disc, side-by-side. The first shows the sun in hydrogen-alpha light, and the second shows the sun in ordinary visible white light. The hydrogen-alpha image makes it possible to see details like prominences, flares and other structures present in the solar chromosphere, while the white-light image shows details in the solar photosphere, such as sunspots.

You'll be able to find us on the roof terrace on the 4th floor from 12:00 til 16:00 where we'll have specially adapted telescopes in which you can safely view the sun.
