The November 2017 monthly meeting of Liverpool Astronomical Society for the 2017 – 2018 (136th) session will be held on Friday, November 17th from 19:00 to 21:30.

Our guest speaker this month is Dr. Julian Onions of the University of Nottingham, whose lecture about metallicity in stars is entitled:

“Metal Detecting”

What are metals to an astronomer, how do they get made, and what can they tell us about the history of the universe in terms of stars and galaxies?

Subscriptions for 2016-2017 are now overdue and should have been paid by October 1st.
