As well as not supporting modern features and web standards, old versions of browsers - especially Internet Explorer - can expose your computer to security risks. The Browse Happy website has a list of the latest versions of all major browsers, including Internet Explorer (but remember Windows XP only supports up to IE8!)

Adele Horton from Astronomia will be running a portable shop at the observatory on Saturday 22nd November. Adele has indicated that if any members would like to see any astronomical equipment, telescopes, mounts, binoculars, eyepieces, filters, and even astronomical books, she will do her best to bring it up to Liverpool, with a view in making purchase of some kind. The November 2014 monthly meeting of Liverpool Astronomical Society for session 2014-15, will take place on Friday, November 21st 2014 from 7pm. Astronomy Evening Martin Mere has formed a partnership with Liverpool Astronomical Society and Astronomia to offer a special astronomy evenings in November, January and March. What is the event? The event will start at 7pm and finish at 9pm on Friday 15 November, Saturday 11 January and Saturday 22 March, and will include special talks entitled: “Tour of the Universe” and “How to choose your first telescope”, before having the opportunity to look through telescopes and look into the wonders of the solar system and beyond.
