As well as not supporting modern features and web standards, old versions of browsers - especially Internet Explorer - can expose your computer to security risks. The Browse Happy website has a list of the latest versions of all major browsers, including Internet Explorer (but remember Windows XP only supports up to IE8!)
If updating/changing your browser is not possible, do not panic - all of the LAS website is still available to you and we are working to make the layout compatible with outdated browsers.
This informal and/or short talk will take place on Friday, April 23rd from 19:00 to 21:00. These informal talks are for LAS members only. These talks will be much less formal than the main meetings; there won’t be any Society Business section at the start, and they won’t be minuted. Continuing our cooperation with the World Museum Liverpool, the Liverpool Astronomical Society will be taking part in their February Stargazing Event. There are several talks planned, a trip to the planetarium, telescopes on the balcony plus information desk and displays from the LAS. If you intend to go along as a visitor you will need to obtain tickets at the museum website. This event is ticket only.
