Monthly Meeting: Dr. Kevin Bowman – “Apollo 13: Lucky for Some?”

The February 2021 monthly meeting of Liverpool Astronomical Society for the 2019 – 2021 (138th) session will be held on Friday, February 19th from the earlier time of 18:40 to 21:00. This month’s meeting is going to be structured a little differently than normal – it’s not so much a lecture as a cinematic documentary experience. Stargazing Evening at the World Museum

Continuing our cooperation with the World Museum Liverpool, the Liverpool Astronomical Society will be taking part in their February Stargazing Event. There are several talks planned, a trip to the planetarium, telescopes on the balcony plus information desk and displays from the LAS. If you intend to go along as a visitor you will need to obtain tickets at the museum website. This event is ticket only. Lecture at World Museum: Dr. Kevin Bowman – “Rocket to the Moon”

Join us to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Apollo 10, with a special talk by Dr Kevin Bowman from the Jeremiah Horrocks Institute at the University of Central Lancashire. Apollo 10 descended to within 50,000 feet of the lunar surface and then returned to Earth.
